A hearty midday meal can power you through the rest of the day. Farmers, construction workers and other people whose jobs require hard physical labor count on a big lunch to give them energy.
If you sit all day at work, you don’t use as much energy as someone with an active job, but you still can benefit by making lunch your biggest meal. You’ll be less likely to snack in the afternoon, you’ll burn off more calories during the day and your dinner can be smaller.
If you do decide to eat a big lunch, you might want to follow it with a walk of 15 minutes or so to counteract the sluggishness that sometimes follows a generous meal.
一顿丰盛的午餐,可以让你在剩余的一天中充满活力。农夫、建筑工人和其它需要体力的劳动者,都是靠着一顿丰盛的午餐来供给他们精力的。
如果你整天都是坐着工作,所消耗的体力就不如那些从事劳动性工作者多,但你仍可把午餐当作一天中最丰盛的一餐,而从中受益。这样子在下午时,你就比较不可能吃零食。整天中你会消耗掉更多的卡路里,而且晚餐可以少吃一些。
如果你决定吃顿丰盛的午餐,也许可以在饭后散步十五分钟左右,以消除有时候在大餐后会产生的昏昏欲睡现象。
