(CALGARY, Alberta, Reuters) A Canadian company made a $99 million mistake.
Ultramar Canada Ltd. said it distributed 314,000 scratch-and-win tickets. Of those, just three were supposed to be grand prizes.
The printer had accidentally printed 100,000 coupons giving C$1,500 prizes.
The company said it did not have to honor the coupons.
