Dolphins Can Recognize Themselves in Mirrors

(BBC News) A new study suggests dolphins are more intelligent than we thought and a great deal more vain.
When given the chance, dolphins would look in a mirror and gaze at markings drawn onto their bodies.
Scientists say this behavior is thought to signify self-recognition and this is the first time a non-primate has shown it.
